Ammo box located off the walking path in Metzger Park in Louisville, Ohio
Metzger Park is the largest park in my boyhood home of Louisville, Ohio. There are over three miles of walking / biking trails, two soccer fields, and two baseball fields.
The centerpiece of this park is Rainbow Playground, which is one of the nicest municipal playground facilities I have ever seen.
To find the cache, park near N 40°49.568', W081°14.876', enjoy the playground, then head for the cache. While you can get within 10' of the cache by staying solely on the walking trail from the parking lot, it is not wheelchair accessible.
You are looking for a small ammo box. There is a log with writing instrument and some small kids toys to trade. Please be certain to avoid detection when hunting, and replace the cache deep within the hiding spot to ensure it is there for the next cacher.
My parents still live in town, and I have made arrangements with my mother to maintain this cache for me - she has a backup ammo box with log and note (and a few trinkets for trading) ready to go in case this is muggled or vandalized. You can help avoid the need for this by taking care to use stealth in searching for and care in replacing this cache!
This would be a great introductory cache kids or for those unfamiliar with geocaching due to the ease of approach. Happy hunting!
