Geocache Description:

Located off the Darlington Trail on top of Blue Mountain near Lambs Gap. This is a beautiful trail in a very nice area.

This cache is a 7.62mm ammo can hidden off of the Darlington Trail on top of Blue Mountain near Lambs Gap. The cache is a short hike from a parking area. Parking is at N40 18.277 W77 00.847. To get to the Darlington Trail, walk down to the road from the parking area and walk a short distance North along Lambs Gap road. The Darlington Trail is marked with vertical orange blazes and is very well maintained. Keep going along the trail past the cache to grab Staos and Neonnoodle's Blue Mountain Box while you're in the area. THIS AREA IS STATE GAME LANDS - BE SURE TO WEAR ORANGE DURING HUNTING SEASON EXCEPT FOR SUNDAYS. The Darlington Trail runs for 7.74 miles from the Appalachian Trail at the western end to Tower road at the eastern end. The trail is very well maintained by members of the Susquehanna Appalachian Trail Club. The trail terrain varies from wide access roads to narrow rocky sections. FTF prize is a Mini-Maglite and a geocoin. The cache started out with a poncho, spare GPSr batteries, several keychains, an MS bracelet, and a few cars and other toys. This is my first cache hide so I appreciate feedback on the coordinates and difficulty ratings.
