A lovely, serene park where you can have a picnic
Hanna War Memorial Park
Logo Used With Permission
This cache is located in a lovely park between the towns of Hanna and Elmo, Wyoming which are only about a mile apart. These small Wyoming towns are located a short distance north of old highway 30 between Rawlins and Laramie. This is a little slower route to reach either Laramie or Rawlins but worth the effort since you will see several small Wyoming towns and a very scenic stretch of quiet highway. There is a large grassy area with several picnic tables so it is perfect to have a picnic while you are there. It is dedicated to those who served in wartime and has a path to walk down with several plaques which give some interesting information. Also on display is a rotary snowplow used by the Union Pacific Railroad to clear the tracks years ago during heavy snowfalls. Also close by is the recreation center and the baseball field. This cache is small and may be hard to find, especially for people of shorter stature. Please put it back exactly as you found it so it will be equally difficult for the next geocacher. As stated above, the cache is pretty small so will only hold smaller items.
I hope this is a fun hide for you and it gets you off the beaten path. Have fun!
