Geocache Description:

A straightforward traditional cache in a peaceful location with good views towards Blackburn.

Take the footpath from the Punch Bowl Inn, past derelict Harwood Fold and down to the cache. May be a bit muddy in places.

If you continue further down the hill from the cache you will cross the course of the old railway branch line to Hoddlesden. Opened in 1876 it only ever carried freight, despite petitions for a passenger service, and eventually closed in 1962.

Please ensure that the cache isn't visible from either side when you leave it.
