Mt Mee Camping, Social and 4WD weekend.
The above coordinates are for the Saturday morning meeting at the Gantry Area. The campsite coordinates are in the description below.
Drives
Times are only approximate
11:00 Saturday - We will be meeting up at the Gantry area, for a familiarisation drive just to explore a little bit of Mt Mee. This will be a relatively easy drive.
16:00 Saturday - We will be leaving the campsite for a Sundowner at the Lakes Lookout (cache here). After sunset, we will be doing a night drive looking through some interesting tracks before heading back to camp.
11:00 Sunday - Will be another led trip, this time a little more challenging than the saturday ones.
Campsite
The campsite will be Neurum Creek Bush Retreat (website here). This is a fabulous site on the Neurum Creek. Aside from the 4WDing aspect of Mt Mee, there are lovely walks here and the creek has swimming holes, which have resident Platypus, Kingfishers and numerous other photographic opportunies.
The campsite is dog friendly, has amenity blocks with hot showers and dusk-dawn lighting. There is firewood and ice on sale in the shop.
The campsite is under new ownership, so the website will be changing mid August.
