Long Description
(Cache coordinates represent 15 minutes of averaging. Could not attain WAAS.)
Located near a city maintained mountain bike trail, just finding the trail is part of the fun! This has to be one of the most unusual places I've seen yet for a trail head. I guess since it's in a busy part of the city it has to be unusual. Here are the trail head coordinates: 34 deg 45.351 min north, 92 deg 24.423 west (7 minutes of WAAS averaging). As mentioned, this trail is located in a busy location, but once you're on the trail you wouldn't know it. The cache is located sufficiently far enough off the trail so if you brought your bike you may also want to bring a bike lock. The cache is near the half-way point of the trail so if you have the time it's nice to enjoy the entire trail. There is a shaded picnic table so definitely bring your pack lunch. Not to give away too much detail about the cache location, it's not near anything that's particularly special or obvious.
The cache container is an ammo box wrapped in camo duct tape. This cache includes a reusable camera so please take your picture and replace so I can post your photo.
As in any city, the city maintains the park and tries to keep the trail safe, clean, and free of litter. And as in any city park, the city can use our help. This is especially true with this trail since it is still under construction. If you have the time, we appreciate your help keeping this trail clean.
So why call this cache Little Rock's Best Kept Secret? This cache is located in a very busy part of Little Rock. But you would never know it once you are on the trail. The trail is also specifically designated for moutain bikes, something that Little Rock is gradually adding. The trail is mostly shaded which is wonderful during an Arkansas summer. The trail winds around close to a creek which is usually very calm except after a heavy rain, then it's raging! At this point, the trail is not well known and the trail head is located in a place unlike any trail head I've seen before.
