Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. If you do not plan on replacing/repairing your cache, please CITO any remains returning the site to the original state before you placed your cache.

Geocache Description:

Multicache 3.5 Km from Canada Trail at parking to final cache. Recommend Mountain Bike (this is no polite pedaling)but can be hiked - muddy sections. Bear in mind that the caches are under some tree cover and that cloud or overcast will compound the difficulty.

There are four cache points including the final cache. The first three only contain coordinates and suggestions to next cache as well as a pencil(bring your own paper). The final cache contains a log, pencil and sharpener and the usual trading trinkets as well as a TB.
A clear sunny day would be an advantage. Bring bug dope and drinking water!
Can be accessed from the Ring Rd. but we recommend parking opposite 64 Ferris Ave. at the York Municipal Home Cemetery. From there you cross the Canada Trail and follow the dirt road (about .58 Km) NNW back through the strawberry U-pick bearing left at the Y to the Ring Rd. at large metal culvert. Proceed S about 90M along same side of road to well hidden single track (trailhead)down on left in Alders and follow trail to first cache.

These trails make up part of a MTB network we made and have been maintaining for about 15 years. A lot of our single track was discovered by the dreaded "off-roaders" who have turned single-track sections into "roads" and mud wallows and generally wreck havok on the network which accounts for the "mud" warning. Still a nice area to visit, we think.
