This one was formerly the Big Flat Rock cache, but they changed where the trail went, so we moved it to this spot along the main trail.
This is the fourth cache we placed along the loop trail.
We put the contents of the original cache into this new ammo can. The original cache didn't melt during the Oct. '03 fires, just got rusty!
The trail is wide and easy walking, just be aware of critters of the rattley variety and watch out for poison oak sprouting up along the trail. There isn't any near the cache however. Still, it is a good idea to carry Tecnu with you. Remember, park hours are: M-F 7:30 - 5:00
Sat. & Sun. 7:30 - 6:00. They close the gate on time.
