Geocache Description:

We have placed three caches in the vicinity of Canora, SK - The Gateway to the North (this is the third). We’re hoping you will look for all of them on your way North to Cranberry Portage, MB either to geocache, or participate in the Annual Cranberry Portage Trout Challenge fishing derby, held every August long weekend.

It is located North of Canora just off Hwy. #9, at a historical site. Take time to explore and read the plaque placed by Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society Inc. regarding the Wilson homestead. The cache is a plastic container wrapped in a plastic bag. It contains a log book, pencil, invitation to the Cranberry Portage Trout Challenge boat parade, rules meeting and raffle. The invitation is also a discount which can be used towards your 2005 entry fee should you decide to enter the fishing derby. There are other goodies in the cache including 2 travelers - Canadian Nut #CASK001 and Storm #AE7252.
If you take a traveler(s) please go to (visit link) and log in.
