The Cache is in Monkmead Woods, off Monkmead Lane, West Chiltington, West Sussex.
West Chiltington is a very pretty village, with very large impressive houses, some old, some new but the newer ones have been built to fit in with the style of the older ones in most cases.
We have called this Monkmead Maze as the woods are a labryinth of footpaths which double back on themselves making you think you are lost in a maze as you will see.
The Path to the cache takes you on a winding footpath through mixed woodland full of wildlife, and at one point you should cross a small footbridge across the River Chilt which is a tributary of the River Stor, you will also meet lots of friendly locals out walking there dogs. If you come across the Golf course you do not need to enter as the cache is not in that area, although if you want a longer walk there is a marked footpath that passes through it.
There is a small Free car park, N50 56.512 W000 27.911, height is restricted by a barrier, most cars including 4x4's should fit, if not local roads are not restricted parking. From here walk into woods and follow paths off to the left, and from here it is up to you, they all lead to the cache eventually.(Accuracy was 25ft at cache site)
The cache is a small plastic food container with white lid, containing Log Book and pens, and a small number of childrens toys, it's more of a kids cache than adult to start but feel free to swap and leave any small items you like. Please re-hide cache well before leaving.
