Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to one of only two naturally round lakes in the world. The cache container is a white, screw-top food supplement container. Please be careful to put it back in a secure location when you re-hide.

DeFuniak Springs is a charming and historical town that was planned by a surveying party looking for a route for the L & N Railroad. It was named for Mr. DeFuniak, a prominent official of the L & N Railroad. The Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood which was used for the winter Chautauqua was built in 1909 at a cost of $28,000, and seated 4,000 in an auditorium on the back of the building that was destroyed by hurricane Eloise. For more information about the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood, visit http://www.chobf.org/.
While you are around the lake, be sure to visit Florida's oldest working library that is still in its original building. It has a great medieval armor collection. Also, for the kids, there is a playground nearby and there are hungry ducks to feed.
