Hidra - the most
beautiful island on the southcoast of Norway.
Hidra is situated in
Flekkefjord municipality. A ferry boat is connecting the island to
the mainland.The trip takes only 5-6 minutes. Approximately 600
people live on the island. In the summertime, however, the
population increases greatly.

The museum "Fedrenes
minne" is situated in Rasvåg and is a museum dedicated to the
fishermen, sailors and farmers that have lived on Hidra from
ancient to modern times. On the 22th of July 2009 the museum was
for the first times visited by King Harald and Queen
Sonja.
Museet "Fedrenes
minne" ligger i Rasvåg. Museet er viet livet til fiskerne,
sjøfolkene og bøndene som har bebodd Hidra fra oldtiden og opp mot
våre tider. 22. juli 2009 ble museet for første gang besøkt av Kong
Harald og dronning Sonja.
