Hours together: Today we went to check on our cache and indeed we found it missing. Whether this was done by human or animal remains a mystery. We suppose it could have been either.
It was raining very heavy when we got there and when we left we both agreed it was about the biggest raindrops we had ever seen. It did not look like there was much litter laying around as some reported. We assume someone cleaned up the area.
When we left to check the cache we had thought about maybe not replacing it due to the coordinates being different by almost everyone there. The cache itself was not really hard to get to and only a few yards from the parking lot. If you went up the back side of the log it was fairly easy, the front side of the log had a hill in front of it. After careful consideration we did decide to archive this cache.
We are sorry for those who went there and found the cache missing. We have gone through that and know the frustration. In fact earlier today we searched for a cache for quite awhile only to find later that it was archived. We do regret this happening to anyone at our cache.
We do have a cache about .8 miles up the Indian River, waypoint GCJRR4 .
It is a canoe/kayak cache.
