Geocache Description:

Help us celebrate that the City of Madison has opened their parks to geocaching once again!

The City of Madison has opened their parks to the geocaching community and we placed a cache in this very park to celebrate this fact! We would like to celebrate this with our geocaching friends. Ayone who has been following the progress of this knows that Ms. WISearcher has been waiting for a year and a half to be able to celebrate and we decided to do it in style!!!

What better place to celebrate than at a great city of Madison Park (Warner Park)! It just so happens that we chose the date as the same as the big Rhythm and Booms event, July 2, 2005. We will be arriving early in the morning and laying out several large tarps. We will take exact coords in the morning and place the exact coords in the new geocache in the park. We will also be on FRS/GMRS channel 7. We would like to begin our celebration at 6:oo. Bring everything you need to have a picnic style supper (We will not have access to a grill)and if you would like to bring a dish to pass that would be great!

If you would like to continue to celebrate with us into the night you will be in for a treat! However staying for Rhythm & Booms is not a requirement for logging the event as a find. If you don’t know what Rhythm & Booms is, you’ve been missing out. See what’s in store after our get together at www.rhythmandbooms.com If you come unprepared, You can also enjoy the carnival's fare like corn dogs, elephant ears and mini doughnuts !!!

We suggest parking offsite and busing or walking in. (We always park many blocks away and walk in...parking close to the event will make getting out after the event difficult)Everything you need to know is on the website. Bring your FRS Radios set to Channel 7 so we can keep in touch. If there is a lot of muggle activity on that channel, we’ll announce a change to channel 12.
Being that it will be late when the Booms are done, you may want camp overnight if you from out of town.

See (visit link) for a list of county owned campgrounds. Token Creek is probably the closest.

Rain date applies to this event as well. If it rains on the 2nd and the fireworks are cancelled, then same time same place on Sunday the 3rd.

This cache is rated a 1 terrain, but be aware that if you have a difficult time getting around, you will want to come to the event early.

Please place a log here of your intentions so we know how many tarps to lay out! Any local area cachers that would like to come early in the morning to lay tarps would be welcomed...just email us and we will coordinate a time and place.

Hope you can come help us celebrate that the City of Madison is now open for geocaching business!!!!!
