When I hiked out to find all the caches in the north end of
Pleasanton Ridge a few months ago, I discovered that there was a
big loop of trail that was still cache-less! Now I have remedied
that. Be prepared for a long hike, though.
This spot along the North Ridge trail offered such a great view of
Mt. Diablo and the valley to the north that I just had to leave a
cache here. The cache is a decon container (roughly 4x3x2 inches)
containing only a log book and stubby pencil, so you might be
better off bringing your own pen to write with.
