The Naga-Waukee Bug Hotel Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Tapps: After a e-mail I stopped at the park. True all was cleared or munched up. I went and talked to the new head ranger. With no new sticker for the year he told me to go check as he already knew me. After a walk in he drove down and joined me. No luck on finding anything! I will stop back with my GPS and hit ground zero. I think a younger helper found it and grabbed it. OH WELL!!! The Tapps

Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Waukesha County's Naga-Waukee Park so there is an entrance fee.

The cache is a large ammo box. Parking is available at N 43 03.680 W 088 22.610 trail is at the back of the parking lot or picnic area #4.

This cache is a Travel Bug Hotel for moving travel bugs.

The hours of the park are sunrise to 10:00pm year round.

There is a gallon freezer baggie with trading items for the kids. I put a 2.5 for terrain as you need to bushwack from trail to the cache about 371 feet, so it is not wheelchair accessible.

I wanted to create a travel bug hotel here in Waukesha to help travel bugs move around and not to store them indefinitely. Bugs are free to come and go. Please try to help them towards their goals.

If any bugs need a replacement tag or baggie, we will try to get it to them (please let us know if a bug you are dropping needs something).

Not to worry, any travel bugs that seem to be stuck here will be moved along by the cache owners.

Please replace the cache as you found it.

During the summer season, Naga-Waukee Park has a beach for swimming and the hours are 11:00am to 7:00pm weekdays and 10:00am to 7:00pm on weekends. There is 5 reserved group camp sites and 33 first come first serve camp sites. There are 5 reseved picnic areas and a family picnic area. There is a boat launch area and places to fish from shore. There is access to the 8-mile Lake Country trail for biking.
