Medium sized ammo box so you can find and leave things that are a little bigger. There is a little art project going on inside so you may want to bring your watercolours or crayons.
Few people know about this place and it’s well worth the climb.
Bring your binoculars and refreshments (There aint no Maccas up here). Allow around two hours for the round trip on foot.
While there are many vehicle access tracks through the area please, please, please use your head and go on foot.
The area is well known for the services it provides to the city. This will be quite apparent by the time you reach the parking area S27°32.223 E152°48.012
Make a crossing at S27.32.001° E152°47.868.
Between here and the target is where you could hear or even see Wedge-Tailed Eagles or other raptors over your left shoulder.
There is a tall landmark/structure clearly visible. Take a wander over and locate the survey marker at its base.
Note the number of the survey marker (careful the numbers look similar).
If it is 43829 the location of the cache is: S27°31.688 E152°47.923
If it is 45829 the location of the cache is: S27°31.676 E152°47.771
*The coordinates are pretty accurate (Averaged for 10 minutes to 3m).
Note: Be careful here you are a long way up and near the edge. Children should stand well back from the edge.
Your return trip should be to retrace your steps or at least to head in a southwesterly direction not to the northeast.
