This was a large dairy farm from the late 1800's until shortly after the crash of '29. Started out as a log cabin until the farm house was built. This family (my family) farm was lost during the early years of The Great Depression as a result of a land swindle and ultimately, back taxes.
Parking is available at N41 09.909 W080 39.982. This is the best approach to the cache. There could be lots of muggles in parking area and some stealth may be required in finding the trail head. Climb down the hill, not up. You will be following part of the old driveway. Keep the line of large trees on your left at all times until you arrive at the cache location. Or you could try to hike overland as the crows flies but that may be tougher. Lots of tree cover so expect GPSr errors of 30 - 40 feet at times. Long pants, sturdy shoes, and bug spray are recommened. Heavy deer population. Lots of tracks but no hunting here!! Have fun!
