Located off the main Salmon Creek Greenway Trail about a mile from the west end.
This ammo can is just off a small branch trail leading south and slightly uphill from the Salmon Creek Greenway Trail. It is about one mile from the parking area on NW Seward Road / NW 36th Street. (N45 - 43.297, W122-42.464)
IT IS NOT IN THE OLD RUSTY THING, IT IS NOT ON THE OLD RUSTY THING, IT IS NOT UNDER THE OLD RUSTY THING - it is about 20 feet past the Old Rusty Thing. The Old Rusty Thing is interesting but does not look like a good place for children to play.
Cache "West Greenway" is about a half mile west of here. From the parking spot above, it would be about 2 1/2 miles to the furthest of the Son of Salmon Creek series. An easy five mile walk could yield five caches along the way. A short detour onto Cougar Creek Trail offers the possibilty of two more (Cougar Creek and Seek, and ye shall find).
