An historic area along the Snake River where a ferry used to shuttle vehicles and farm machinery across the river.
You are looking for a magnetic key holder containing only a log. Bring a pen or pencil! You will probably have to feel around for it. Please put it back in the same spot to keep it from being muggled and to keep the log dry. WATCH FOR BUZZTAILS!
Used up until the late 60's the ferry now rests on the Franklin County side of the river and is used as a fishing pier at Lyon's Ferry park.
The bridge that replaced the ferry used to cross the Columbia River at Vantage and was replaced during the construction of I-90. The bridge was dismantled and reassembled at this location.
The massive Joso trestle was constructed in 1914 and is 3,920' long and stands 200' above the water. It is quite a site to watch trains crossing it!
Happy caching,
