Geocache Description:

An easy stroll along the river and a quick and easy find

Located near the site of the former "Chapleau Power Dam". You will easily be able to identify where the dam was as the rock on the far side of the river is still marred by the concrete that made up the dam. The dam has not generated power in ages and was being used to control water levels. Having been determined as being hazardous the dam was de-commisioned and removed. Also you can see some of the wood that was used in the dam to control the water levels along the rocky shore. The cache is easily found it is the location that is the draw not the challenge. Do not follow the river from the Highway, Parking is available up the road at 47º49.068N 083º23.853W.
