Start at Mount Dickerman trail head #710. The trailhead starts at
about 2000 feet elevation. The cache is placed at a view point
about one and a half miles up the trail.
This hike is in the forest. I lost reception almost right away. The
coordinates might not be very helpful so I am giving directions
that will enable you to find it without them.
Yes, the trail is all up. At about one and a half miles there is a
little trail that branches off to the right. There is an old mossy
stump on the your right across from it. The trail is easier to spot
on the way up. It is just a few feet and puts you at a small rocky
ledge that gives you your first view of the mountains across the
valley. While I was on the ledge I had fairly good reception. The
container is a small, round Lock&Lock. Too small to fit a pen
in but bigger then a micro. It is tucked under a grouping of 4
small trees, covered with moss and a rock. The trees are bent at
the ground from snow lee. They are on the up side of the ledge so
there is no need to hunt where it drops off. The ledge and the
cache are at about 3410 feet elevation.
