My second cache, which like the first one, is merely a copy of one that I've done and liked. I hope you like it too.
Looking for Lon:
I hardly remember my Grandfather, Lon Linder Fletcher. He died when I was a toddler. One of the memories I have was watching him roll his own cigarettes. Sadly, it was cigarettes that played a major role in his death, as he died from lung cancer.
Lon was a long time manager of the popular Clinton Cafeteria restaurant chain that has long since gone out of business. It was at the Clinton Cafeteria that my Mother and Father first met. Prior to managing the chain of restaurants, he was a barber. I have a photo of Lon when he was a very young man working in his barber shop. I display it with some early barber items that I've collected over the years.
Lon had two daughters, my aunt and my Mom. I was his first grandson and my parents gave me his name as my middle name. I only wish I had a chance to have known him.
The cache is very simple and is in memory of my Grandfather. I don't want to have it muggled, so I've taken steps to ensure that it will be safe.
The posted coordinates will take you to a public parking lot in back of some businesses on San Ramon Valley Blvd (there is no parking on S.R.V.B). Once there, you can enter through the rear entrance which is open during business hours or walk around to the front door. To locate the cache, remember these words: "I'm Looking for Lon."
The cache is a large one and has a variety of items in it. It can accommodate fairly large sized items.
I guess it would be helpful to note that the cache is only available Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
