Geocache Description:

A Hikers Dream! At 9039' the cache is only accessible June to late fall due to snow pack. 4000' of climbing and 10 miles (round trip) makes this a three to six hour hike depending on speed and trail conditions. Start at the Beus trail head (go east on 4600 south from Harrison Blvd. parking lot on left side of the road). The trail head is at > N41°10.634' W111°55.756'<. Follow the trail and signs to Mt. Ogden peak. You can do it! It is worth it!

This cache is a green ammo box somewhere along the southwest ridge just below Mt. Ogden peak, near the trail from Beus canyon. At it's creation, it contained: framed picture of Paris that was purchased on the streets of Paris during the 2003 Tour de France, Boy Scout Klondike derby badge, NASA key chain, ear phones, miniature ivory domino set, bracelet, 1 travel bug, and some random toys. If you choose to look for this cache, take something good with you. It is nice to find something interesting after you have done all the work to get there. No one likes to find a cache full of all the crap that got left in the pocket of your jeans (e.g. pens, stick of gum, golf tees, pocket change) Thanks for your cooperation! The View is awesome and once you get this far you might as well go another half mile to the peak. (look for the Radio towers) Have a great time, and be safe.
