You will find this cache along a great biking or walking trail located within the Willamette Greenway in Cottage Grove. This one requires a little task be performed (thus the 3.5 difficulty rating). There are several other caches nearby that can be grabbed along this mostly paved and level trail, part of which skirts the edge of a golf course that I play often.
** NOTE** Best access to this cache is either at the trailhead near the sewage treatment plant or even better, the trailhead on the east end at the end of Thornton Lane which turns left off of Row River Road just across the road from the Village Green. Do not try to access this cache from the Pro-shop of the golf course. The trail you want goes around the edge of the golf course and though it is shared by the golfers, does allow bikers and hikers.
If you are biking, you will want to check out some of the other biking trails in the area. A short hop on quiet city streets connects you to the Row River Trail approximately 1/2 mile from the end of this trail.
The task you must perform will be explained at the first stage of this cache. If you bring the right thing with you and are real lucky, you should be able to complete this cache in one trip. If you "do not" or "are not" you might have to backtrack or take a little longer. I hope you enjoy this cache. I sure enjoyed setting it up.
Final cache is small but has room for small trade items and is stocked with a good assortment of sports oriented items.
