Leitchfield’s 1st Ammo Box Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Turtle3863: I placed this cache in this town hoping to spark interest in the community to start caching. It appears that the only thing it has sparked is some old fart that has nothing better to do than protect the trees from terrorists blowing them up. This cache is a good .25 miles away from any structure and for now it looks like it will be Leitchfield's last ammo box. Am am sorry this had to be brought to the attention of the police. So do we now go around checking out everyones corn hole box to make sure it does not contain a bomb? We in Geocaching have tried our best not to put caches near public building and bridges but it comes to a point where common since NEEDS to come into play. I will get off my soap box and go on my way, hopefully a cache can return to this nice park in the future.

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in a nice lakeside park not far off the WK Parkway.

I have been to this lake on several occasions and have enjoyed the park there. I thought this would be a good place to put an ammo box to get caching started off right in this town.

The park is open from dawn to dusk. Please be careful as to not let anyone see you retrieve and or put this cache back in its hiding spot. Enjoy
