We decided that the less traveled part of Endicott Park needed a cache. Well we have changed the listing of this cache to a traditional and not a multi. In checking the cache on 11/5 we have found waypoint one missing for the 2nd time. So our coordinates are for the cache container. We are including the coords for the original waypoint only because if you have time, this offers a great view. N42 34.351 N070 57.599(the reason we placed the cache in the first place). There is no longer any micro at this first place. You are at one of the highest points in Danvers.
Be sure you bring bug spray, the skeeters are out in force even during the daylight hours. There is a FTF prize.. enjoy it after your hike.
While in the park take some time to do Brayden's cache at N 42 34.296 W070 57.868 as well as Glen Magna cache at N42 34.400 W070 58.108 There is a parking lot attendant on duty on weekends and holidays. The fee is $1.00 for Danvers residents and $3.00 for non-residents. The park is a great place to spend some time.. lots of things for the kids to do.
We used 2 GPS's to try and get the coords. We raised the difficulty of the hide to 2 because of the dense tree cover. Please let us know if you get different coords than we did.
Note: Stay on the marked trail until you are within 100 feet of the cache, you should avoid the thorns. Ticks have been reported in the area so please check yourself when finished.
12/9/07 Please note. This cache may be difficult to find in deep snow.
3/7/12 Went out today and replaced the cache container. It is now an ammo box filled with new swag and a new log book. Just a reminder that you DO NOT have to go through thorns to get to the cache even though your GPS might lead you there. Please make sure you rehide the cache as you found it or even better.
