This is a four part cache. Allow two to three hours for your journey covering some 5 km. Location - Te Henga.
Park car at S 36 53.038, E174 27.079
Cross windswept burning deserts, traverse dense dark forests where unseen monsters lurk, climb to the highest plateau along winding paths and ye shall be rewarded with wondrous vistas in your quest to find the hidden treasure.
Some 100m beyond waypoint ‘3’ there is a small track down to the beach. Most times you can return via this route along the beach back to your starting point. However this route may not be possible when spring tides occur during both full moon and new moon. Therefore you should avoid this route within two hours either side of high tide. Check the time of high tide for Muriwai as listed on back page of New Zealand Herald before you leave.
