On the East Fork Fire Interprative Trail
This cache is about 1/2 way around on the interprative trail at the end of the East Fork of the Bear River Road. Take the East Fork Road which is just south of Bear River Lodge. Turn South after a couple of miles going towards the BSA East Fork of the Bear Camp. Go past the Scout camp to the end of the road. You're on your own now. Cache is in a small tupperware container. This fire cost the taxpayers over 14 Million dollars to put out. In 2007 the Boy Scouts of America paid 7 million as their payment for causing the fire. In August 2007 when I visited the site a small rain shower had washed through the burned area and washed out the road, washed down boulders and timber and turned the pristine Bear River into flowing mud.
