“INDIANA SPIRIT
QUEST”
The Indiana Spirit Quest series of
geocaches will take you to a number of historic
cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just a year and a
half, the quest has grown to over two hundred thirty caches hidden
in twenty-two Indiana counties, and two Ohio counties, and the
hiders have grown to eight cacher teams, six of which are comprised
of A Man and His Dog... One who is a man and his Cat, and
one who is a Dog and her Woman. Over 400 cacher
teams have logged over 4,650 finds. One cache machine found 102 ISQ
caches in a single day!

CANNOT SEE HIM. In addition to fighting crime, he is a Geocacher,
and hides caches with his companion, the lovely Margo Lane. Listen

Welcome
to Powers Cemetery, York Twp., Steuben County,
Indiana.
This is a
nice mid-sized cemetery, with the largest area out of sight from
the roadway. It lies up & over a rise. The main area gives a
sense of seclusion & privacy, which many cemeteries lack. I
heard a lot of birds & some aquatic wildlife in the adjacent
wooded area. It is just south of the Powers Church, established in
1876. It is still an active cemetery. There is no sign marking the
cemetery.
There is
a drive going all the way back with a graveled area for a
turnaround. Again, none of this is visible from the
road.
Veterans
from the Civil War are buried here , as well as those from modern
wars –THE SHADOW

located near a grave... If you find a fallen US flag, please stick
it back in the ground. As always, please be respectful, and cache
in, trash out. !
