I-69 Pit Stop Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

berryzang: Well it's been a good run for this area. I'm archiving this cache as of today. I figured I'd pick a nice day to remove it. I have removed the cache and nothing remains in the area. Thanks to all who visited!

Geocache Description:

Tired of the long drive? Stop here and take a nice relaxing walk in the woods. But if you see the stream you've gone too far in. Be careful because there are poison ivy patches at the edge of the woods. Once you get inside the poison ivy is scattered pretty thinly.

This cache is in the northbound I-69 rest area just north of Potterville near mile marker 70. There is no theme to this cache, basically anything goes.

This is one of the newest rest areas in Michigan. Take a minute to stop inside the building and check out the tile map on the floor of the lobby.

The cache is a large ammo box that has been painted camoflage-colored. It is hidden in a standard geocaching location. This is a large wooded area and it is not very likely that you will be seen by people at the cache site. But keep your eye out for wild animals. Happy hunting!
