Walk in the door and ask for the Geocache at the counter. The Cache container is a Green filebox. Contents are: logbook, pen, pencils, Geo-paper & miscellaneous items to trade. There is plenty of room in the cache container for travel bugs and trade items.

If you ask for the geocache and the person you ask doesn't seem to know what it is..tell them that you are looking for a green file box with geocache on the front of it..it is usually on the floor behind the counter...it seems that a few of the new staff are still unaware that a geocache is there.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and any information that you may want for area attractions is available. There are plenty of things to do nearby..ride in the stagecoach or the trolley or just walk around and enjoy the old west. No admission is necessary to find the cache but there is for attractions nearby.
If you arrive and the Information Center is closed..you can optionally Log a FIND by posting a picture of you standing by the Dodge City Visitor's Center sign.
