Rusty's Trail Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

cavecom: Caches have a life span, just like Huskies, and it's time to let this one go. Rusty would be glad to have had so many visitors. It survived 2 major floods unscathed and gave folks a good reason to take their dogs out for a walk. Goodnight Rusty.

Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to my dear departed Siberian Husky "Rusty". During his training as a young dog this was the only place he was allowed offleash. It was here he learned good trail manners and probably had the best times. On one cold January day I let him decide where we would walk. This cache marks the start of his ??trail. We never took that route again but he would always try to get me to follow by taking his position at the cachesite.

Just park off Walnut Grove and head along the trail closest to the Wolf River. The cache is just off the trail. There is a log as well as a ziplock for you to leave a picture of your fourlegged friend that has a few photos of Rusty already in it. I recommend you do not leave your dog at home for this cache- they may even help you find the cache!
