Geocache Description:

The cache is placed in the Pohuehue Viaduct area on State Highway One, and makes a good leg stretcher between Orewa and Warkworth. Throw the chickens a crust of bread if you have one.

The cache is a simple offset cache. GPS reception is not great on the trail but should resolve itself near the waypoint. The waypoint is an obvious structure, that affords a pleasant view. Once there look for an orange DOC serial tag attached to the structure. Using the first three digits of the tag as X and the second three digits as Y, the cache lies X metres from the tag at X + Y degrees magnetic. NOTE: No risks need to be taken to find the tag. If you're thinking "I shouldn't be here" then you are in the wrong spot. The cache is a one litre container cosily wrapped in a desert camo cardigan. Allow 30 minutes for the round trip. --BRING A COMPASS --
