Geocache Description:

When I was younger, I loved coming to the dam. There is a park where my family and friends would have birthday parties, or just come to relax and take a short walk across the bridge that is still in use. We would fish in the pond next to the boathouse. My friends and I would have BBQ’s, 4th of July parties, or just hang out and go swimming along the river. What wonderful memories I have of this place.

Please hide the cache as good as you found it. There are lots of curious cats that climb through these mountains retreating from the water.

This cache is located in the mountains north of the Imperial Dam. Park at this coordinate 320 53.062N 1140 28.266W Do Not park past the barriers. It is a short walk from your car past the blue/green gates, and down to the boathouse. Your cache awaits you a few yards away.

This is a desert area and all the normal precautions apply. The area is quite rocky with lots of loose rocks. This is not a cache for people who have a hard time walking on uneven surfaces. The climb is quite steep.
