The Grand Union Canal links Birmingham to London with a waterway which is 145 miles long and contains 166 locks. This cache is one of a series to be found along or close to the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire stretch of the canal.
The co-ordinates given above will take you right to the cache. It is a very busy location, so your major challenge will be searching, retrieving and replacing without being seen. Please be very careful, though, due to high risk of muggling if you are not. If in doubt, return later. There is an adjacent pub and also a nearby tea rooms in which to waste some time waiting for boats to go past. Take some suitable food and feed the ducks. There is a charge for parking in the car park, but you can always park along the grass verge or else continue over the bridge and park further up the road, as there are no parking restrictions (apart from common sense!).
. Please replace the cache EXACTLY as you found it as you can appreciate this is a high muggle area!
Please take care when you are around the lock, especially if you are caching with children.
