Geocache Description:

Located in Shoshone National Forest, off the Chief Joseph Hwy, near a trailhead. Short hike from parking area.

This is the Painter/Crandall Cache. It is not far from the area called Painter, and since I do artwork, I liked this link. It is located in the Shoshone National Forest near a trailhead area, not far from Painter off of the Scenic Chief Joseph Hwy. The cache is a Lock n Lock (similar to Tupperware) We saw two deer while placing the cache, and also a very beautiful brilliant blue bird. The area is very peaceful and halfway from here to there along a supremely beautiful drive. You can be on your way to Yellowstone, on your way to Cody, or just on your way. No matter, the views along this drive are outstanding. You won't be sorry.

When started the cache contained: A log book and several pencils, a geocaching pin, travel pk Kleenex, 2 metal cars, a fridge magnet, flowerpot charm, and a squirt gun.

Leave nothing but footprints. Enjoy...... Bob, Jo & Celene
