Visit the Worlds Longest Manmade Structure.
Yes it's longer than the Great wall of China.
This 2 metre high wire barrier streches for over 5,600 Kms across 3 states,
to protect the sheep country from the Dingo.
Out here the soil is a soft grey clay hence the nickname "Moon plain".
This moon like look led to the film "Pitch Black" being made here.
Near this location is the Breakaway Reserve a collection of colourful low hills that were once a part of the Stuart Range.
They are best visited in the early morning or setting sun when the changing light brings out a wonderful array of desert colours.
Two lookouts here provide views over formations called "Salt and Peper" and the "Panorama Hill".
Many people will recognise Panorama Hill from "Mad Max - Beyond Thunderdome".
A National Park entry pass into the Breakaways can be purchased in Cooby Pedy
