Geocache Description:

The cache is located somewhere along a hike on the western side of the Rockcastle River. This vista is from the top of a cliff known as Bee Rock, so named because years ago it was supposedly the home of a large throng of honeybees.  Located close by was once an antebellum resort named Sublimity Springs which was a malaria-free summer retreat that hosted wealthy southern plantation owners.

From Exit 38 off of I-75 at London, Kentucky head west on KY 192 for 18 miles. When you cross the Rockcastle River turn right into the Bee Rock Campground. Bypass the first trail head for Bee Rock Overlook Trail #529 which is .2 miles into the campground. The one you want to take is the second trail head which will be .6 miles on your left. The trail is steep but less than a mile long. Took us approximately 30 minutes going up and about 15 minutes coming back down. The view at the overlook is worth the hike even if you don't have a "find". This is Jake & Company's first hide. Don't forget your camera!
