Geocache Description:

The coordinates above are not for the cache! The cache is in a park a bit over 2 miles away! This is the final cache in a series of 7 caches.

Local residents of the town known as Chardonshire have reported that “Fearless Fred, the Footpad Dread” has been seen lurking about the local woods and town lanes. Not satisfied with his life of petty thievery, Fearless Fred has been boasting about his plans to make it to the big time. It seems that he has set his sights on acquiring the Crown Jewels of Geauga County.

In an attempt to thwart this plan, the jewels had been pried from the crown and scattered among 6 hiding places in and around Chardonshire. Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to locate each of the 6 different caches that contained the 6 crown jewels and reunite them with the crown that was hidden in a 7th cache.

Here are the caches you must find first: Ruby, Diamond, Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, and Topaz.

Topaz has been archived. T=7
Emerald has been archived. E=8
Diamond has been archived. D=4

When you find one of the "jewel" caches, you will also find a clue to the coordinates for the final cache - the crown. Sadly, as of now, the Royal Treasury has been depleted of all jewels and the crown can no longer be restored to it's former glory. But you can have a nice tour of Chardonshire and pick up 7 "smilies" for your efforts.

New location as of 11/30/09:
