Geocache Description:

The city of Newcastle, Washington was "boren" in September of 1994.

An often overlooked city located between Bellevue to the north, Renton to the south, and Issaquah to the east, Newcastle is home to 8,375 residents (as of 2004) and doesn't yet have it's own post office. It does, however, have it's own beautiful Lake Boren Park which is a 20.2 acre community park that has a fishing dock, playgrounds, tennis courts, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, looped walking paths and picnic shelters. There is also a stage for outdoor summer concerts on Wednesdays (July through August) and outdoor movie nights on Fridays (August). Finally, there is the weekend-long Newcastle Days Festival in September.

The cache is a camouflaged 1-liter "Lock & Lock." It is intended to be a very quick find so that you can enjoy the beautiful park. I've even included a spoiler photo to help you out.

NOTE: If you are also doing the Knotting "Boren" multi-cache in this same park that my sister, piggy-turtle, placed, I suggest you do that one first then find this on your way back. It'll shorten your walk considerably.
