Dragonfly Meadow Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-Rusty-: Greetings,

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Thank you,

Rusty...

Geocache Description:

PARKING AT N 41 56.243' and W 085 00.668' You may have noticed that these are the same parking coordinates for Riverside. There is other parking closer, but it might get you a ticket. The cache is less than a quarter mile from these parking coordinates.

This cache is placed on a trail that winds alongside the river from one side of town all the way to the Railroad tracks on the other side of town. The city just recently purchased two steam locomotives that run from Coldwater to Quincy during the weekends, so you might see or hear them going by while you're looking for this cache.

This section of the trail is well worn, but the first hill from the road down to the trail is slightly steep, which is the reason for the terrain rating. And the difficulty rating might be slightly high, but this cache is very well hidden! The woods around the cache are pretty dense so bring your bug spray!! But there are some beautiful turqoise dragonflies with big black wings flying everywhere in this area...hence the name.

The cache container is a decon container, filled with all kinds of toys for all ages.
