Geocache Description:

Can you discover the Kruger Millions??

Did the head of the mint in 1900 have anything to do with the disappearance of the Kruger Millions?

Candice Crestwell recently purchased a cabin chest on auction at Barney’s of Bredasdorp which is rumoured to have been owned by Mr. Jules Perrin. The chest required some renovation. During the removal of the lining a shredded parchment (57kb) was discovered.

The cache is placed atop Aasvoelkop, more commonly known as Northcliff Ridge. It is the second highest point in Johannesburg and affords one a 360º view of the worlds largest urban forest. The view is extremely impressive on a clear day. There is security in the area, and plenty of rubbish bins at the entrance, so take along a rubbish bag and practice CITO. Park at the coordinates given for the cache.

Make sure you aren’t being watched when recovering the cache. The cache is a 1.5l water proof container. Make sure that the small rock door is wedged in properly when you replace the cache.

Inside the cache are the usual goodies, but you will also find a brochure I compiled of some of our history as well as some information on the sites you can see from this ridge. ENJOY!
