Geocache Description:

This is one of the most beautiful and accessible waterfalls/cascades in the Mount Washington Valley. Great place for a picnic and to spend the day.

Just above Jackson Village the Wildcat River tumbles over many beautiful ledges forming numerous pools, cascades, rock channels and pot holes. The open southern exposure heats the ledges and warms the water. A great place for swimming and sunning on a summer day.

To reach the falls turn right through the covered bridge from Route 16 to Jackson Village. Bear left over the bridge and turn right on Carter Notch Rd. About 0.4 miles up at the top of the hill is ample parking on the right. I couldn't put the cache here because of all the muggles usually present. The cache is on the other side of the river. In the summer the river can be waded, but be careful, it can be slippery. In other seasons it is dangerous to cross here and you will have to find another way to the cache. There are no trails.

After you do the cache soak up some rays or splash in the water. Everybody does! When you have had enough, the Eagle Mountain cache is just up the road.

There is a White Jeep Travel Bug for FTF.
