Geocache Description:

Some No.Va. commuters use a unique system to make their way to and from work at the Pentagon, Crystal City, Rosslyn and downtown D.C. This system is a formalized version of hitchhiking and is a win/win situation for the driver and the passenger since no money is exchanged. People who are driving into work pick up commuters from designated spots to meet the passenger quota so they are able to ride in the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes. These lanes leading to and from the Pentagon and DC often move more quickly than the general traffic lanes.

From this lot, the ride to the Pentagon is easily under 15 minutes. This cache is slightly bigger than an micro, but not quite a small container. There is room to trade small items (coins, TBs and the like). It is intended to be a cache and dash. Before and after rush hour are the optimal times to visit.
