This is a quick off set cache. The cache begins in The Great
Hunger Memorial Park at V.E. Macy and concludes on the South
County Trailway which was formally the Old Putnam Division of
the New York Central Railway. The Trailway is currently a popular
paved biking, jogging and walking trail.
Use the above listed coordinates to find a sign. Read this sign to
find the year that the Great Hunger began and add this to: 4099451
This will give you the North coordinates to the final cache.
Next find the year that the memorial was dedicated and add this
to: 07348772
This will give you the West coordinates to the final cache.
The Park and South County Trailway are located between two
major highways. Please do not park your car on the Highways. There
is free parking inside the Park. Enter the Park from Northbound Saw
Mill River Parkway.
Be wary of muggles, especially those on bicycles that may suddenly
approach without warning.
The cache container is a 4"x10"x7" Lock & Lock. Original
contents of the cache:
1 Deck of playing cards, 2 batman yoyo's, 2 hot wheel cars, 1
kazoo, 1 Disney Sebastian wobbler, 1 flashlight, 1 emergency
poncho, 4 packs of crayons, 1 Preserve Guide by The Nature
Conservancy.
