Geocache Description:

Located in Michigan City's newest park





Located in the heart of the city, on one of our busiest streets, a beautiful wooded area has been saved. Developers had plans to tear down these woods and build a housing development. The neighboring land owners rallied together and talked the city in to buying the land and turning it into a park. The new park has numerous trails running through it. Some of the trails have been there for years as the neighborhood children have used these woods as a way to get to the local mall instead of walking around them. This should be an easy hike, so take the kids and enjoy our newest park. You are looking for a camouflaged peanut butter jar. Geo button inside for the FTF. Here is the coordinates for the parking lot provided at the park. Please park in here not on a side street. N 41°41.258 W086°53.798 Park is open from 6:00 am to dusk.

~~ 3-16-09: Cache was placed using a Yellow Garmin which could result in a slight difference if you are using a better GPS.
