The idea for this cache came to us one day while we were
shopping at Target. One of our favorite things to do is cruise the
end caps at our local store looking for great clearance deals. You
can find lots of things pretty cheap, so we had a great idea to
fill up this cache with items found on clearance at Target, hence
the name!
This is a nice park on the east side of Columbus just as you are
entering or leaving Bexley, directly across the street from St.
Charles Prep School. There are a couple of different ways to access
this cache, so keep reading for the scoop.
If you park at the tennis courts, you are .3 miles from the
cache on a paved trail. If you park at the shelter house, you are
.33 miles from the cache on a paved trail. If you prefer the most
direct route with the shortest path to the cache, follow the park
access road called Park Drive past all the No Parking signs. At the
end of the signs (perhaps 7), you will intersect Fair Avenue. When
you see the sign that reads "Speed Limit 25 Strictly Enforced",
park on the right curb and you are within 250 feet of the
cache.
Cache is a rubbermaid style container covered with camo tape.
Terrain difficulty is a 1.5 because of the low hanging branches you
will encounter as you step off the path and into the woods. The
cache is located within 20 feet of the entry point. The hiding spot
should be fairly obvious, but it is well concealed. Please note
that you do not need to be in or around the creek to access the
cache. It is a quick step into the woods.
Original cache contents, including the container, are
compliments of Target: logbook and pencil, shoelaces, icepack, LED
flashlight keychain, bottle opener keychains (2), backpackclips
(2), Koosh Monster TB, Geocoin, ruler, eraser, pencil leads.
Please rehide exactly as you find. Please make sure no coloring
is visible when you walk away. This could potentially be a high
muggle area. Thanks and Happy Hunting!
