Dieser Cache liegt bei einem kleinen Schmelzwassersee am Fusse des Beverin. This cache lies near a small melt water lake at the foot of the Piz Beverin, one of the most popular summits around.
Gleich unter der Passhöhe des Carnusapasses (2605 m.ü.M) liegt ein kleiner Bergsee, der aufgrund seiner grünen Farbe "Lai la Scotga" - Schottensee - genannt wird. In der Nähe dieses Seeleins ist der Cache versteckt.
Achtung: Trittfestigkeit und eine Portion Schwindelfreieheit gehören zur Grundausrüstung um diesen Cache zu heben. Bei Nässe kann der Zugang zum Cache gefährlich sein!
Für die Anreise gibt es zwei Varianten, eine gemütliche und eine etwas anstrengendere. Auf alle Fälle ist gutes Schuhwerk empfohlen.
1.) die Leichte:
Anfahrt mit dem Auto von Zillis bzw. Andeer (A13) nach Donath, Mathon bis zum Parkplatz beim Punkt N46.62387/E009.36363. Von hier aus ca 1 Stunde den Wegweisern "Carnusapass / Glaspass" folgen.
Alternativ kann man auch mit ÖV bis Wergenstein fahren. Von dort aus zuerst den Wegweisern "Dumagns bzw. Alp Curtginatsch" bis zum oben erwähnten Parkplatz folgen.
2.) die Anstrengende:
Anfahrt mit dem Auto von Thusis über Obertschappina bis nach Ausserglas (N46.67771 E009.35001). Zuerst ca 500m richtung Safien. Anschliessend nach Süden in Richtung Carnusapass, Wergenstein. Achtung, diese Route ist sehr steil und an gewissen Stellen schlecht markiert. Auch hat es im Sommer Vieh und Pferde auf den Alpen. Laufzeit: ca 3.5h. Auch diese Route kann mit ÖV erreicht werden. Neu hat es im Sommer jeweils am Morgen und am Abend eine Verbindung welche bis nach Glaspass fährt.

This cache lies near a small melt water lake at the foot of the Piz Beverin, one of the most popular summits around.
Under the Carnusa pass (2605m above sea level) is a tarn called “Lai la Scotga” or “Schottensee”. Just next to this lake, the cache is hidden.
Attention: The location of the cache is a bit height exposed and can be dangerous to reach if the weather is wet. You should be used to walk on difficult terrain for this cache
There are two ways up to the lake. An easy one and a bit more arduouse one. In either case, good footware is strongly recommended.
1.) The easy one:
By car take the exit “Zillis” or “Andeer” (A13) and follow the direction signs to Mathon and between Mathon and Wergenstein, there is a small road up to point N46.62387/E009.36363. Here you can leave your car and reach the Cache within about 1 hour.
If you travel by public transport, you can take the bus until the stop “Lavanos” (ask the bus driver if you are not sure). From there it’s about 3 – 4 hours to the Cache. See (visit link) for the timetable within Switzerland.
2.) The harder one:
By car from Thusis to Obertschappina until Ausserglas (N46.67771 E009.35001). First walk approx. 500m in direction Safien. Then to south in direction Carnusapass, Wergenstein. But take care: this route is very steep and at some places badly marked. In the summer, you can see and meet horses and cattle on the alps up there. From Glaspass you walk about 3.5 hours. If you travel by public transport, the terminal station is Glaspass. There are two busses every day in summer. One in the morning and one in the evening.
