“The Snipe Hunt” is an old Southern tradition and best done at night.
Snipes are illusive critters that have escaped many experienced hunters. This is a multi-coord cache that will teach you a little about the habitat & wildlife of low-lying areas while being a good steward for the environment.
Night Snipe Hunt: Bring a flashlight, Snipe call, & a large sack
Day Snipe Hunt: Bring a Snipe call, a large sack
As you hunt for Snipe please pick up any trash and unnatural debris in the area and place into your sack. Having some trash in the sack will aid you in your search as they may be drawn to these objects. The big sack also helps as a legitimate excuse if you are caught hunting Snipe in the off-season. Be sure to keep track of how many Snipe you catch. Any description of what a Snipe looks like will be much appreciated when you log your find. Good luck hunting.
